Now I am confused as I haven't touched any Windows things, in fact, the last month or so has just been a bit of browsing on it. ![]() I tried uninstalling the device hoping it would pick up the correct driver on its own, but that didn't happen and it automatically appeared again under the list with it still having an error. Then it redirected me to windows update where of course, everything is up to date. So I clicked update driver and tried to find something online but it said it couldn't find any. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver. There are no compatible drivers for this device. After many hours and trying everything, I finally resolved it and you will not believe how Go to unistall programs and uninstall the realtek driver program. The drivers for this device are not installed. I have a 15-ay191ms laptop and had the problem with Intel High Definition DSP showing up in device manager as needing a driver. ![]() When I double click on it, this is the text that comes up: Learn about arithmetic-logic units (ALUs), the part of a CPU that carries out arithmetic and logic operations on the operands in computer instruction words. The error in Device Manager shows "Intel High Definition DSP" under "Other Devices". It was fine but I have been traveling so haven't used it as much. Now, my SP4 is all updated and windows update shows no pending updates. Windows Defender has been showing me an error for a few days now and I discovered that I may have a driver problem on my SP4. ![]()
